MOOD.

Because I'm feeling very MOOD. And because these are brilliant. But of course they are.

"Calling You"

Inspired choreography by Mia Michaels... Nigel will point out all the beauty in that for you, saving me the effort. I would add a personal love of the way he's chreographed to "miss" her in so many ways, including the utter inability to receive the sunflower.

Oh, and then there's Travis, well... he's just.. Travis, Travis, Travis. He's such a darling. *heart*

"Why"
(That's what I intended to post anyhow, you can take the Libertango as a very worthy bonus.)

First time I saw this I couldn't stop thinking about it. So many MOMENTS. Tyce Diorio is a genius, and a huge lesson in working with what you have.

And to snap out of being so Moody, this is a wonderful smooth number. Just very cool.

"Sexy Love"

Let the Bodies Hit the Floor

System of a Down. So "old skool" huh.

If you remember, the last time I wrote about the Lost Prophets I said I wasn't a fan of noisy music. But sometimes something like this can feel so good.

"One - Nothing wrong with me
Two - Nothing wrong with me
Three - Nothing wrong with me
Four - Nothing wrong with me

One - Something's got to give
Two - Something's got to give
Three - Something's got to give
NNOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!

Let the bodies hit the floor"

Something I've been playing a little more the last few days. Hurhur. So heartfelt, at the right time.

I used to have issues with lyrics that repeat themselves a lot. Or at least the writers thereof. Probably why I am still in a bit of confusion about whether I like the blues style, but that's a story for another day.

This just happens to be one of those rare occasions on which I find that the bare-faced "straightforwardness" of the lyrics and the simplicity of the repeated structure just add intensity and create the right atmosphere for a rather effective... ... ... purge, if you will.

Anyway, you guys probably won't read this, but if you do, tonight's dinner and coffee was wonderfully precious and I don't know how I'd ever survive without you! Thankew many many.

Sorry everyone else for cryptic posting. As with dancing in NYC, sometimes less is more. And if you're one of those with whom you know I'll share anytime you ask, go ahead and do it.

I'm looking forward to dancing tomorrow. My core control has really gone to hell in a handbasket of late, but its a great break.

The Logical Song

I'm feeling retro, and Qiong, I think this one will resonate with you for some reason. Was it you who was trying to turn me onto Supertramp?

The Logical Song
-- Supertramp

When I was young it seemed that
Life was so wonderful
A miracle
Oh it was beautiful
Magical

And all the birds in the trees
They'd be singing so happily
Oh joyfully
Oh playfully
Watching me

But then they send me away
To teach me how to be sensible
Logical
Oh responsible
Practical

And they showed me a world
Where I could be so dependable
Oh clinical
Oh intellectual
Cynical

There are times when all the world's asleep
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man
Won't you please
Please tell me what we've learnt
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am

I said now watch what you say
They'll be calling you a radical
A liberal
Oh fanatical
Criminal
Won't you sign up your name
We'd like to feel you're acceptable
Respectable
Oh presentable
A vegetable!

But at night when all the world's asleep
The questions run so deep
For such a simple man
Won't you please
Please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am

I Just Knew It.

Sigh. This actually doesn't surprise me one bit.

Which College Major Should You Be?

Your major should be Biology. You work hard, and you're gonna keep working hard for many years to come. That's why you keep your work organized and your health in good shape.
